Before leaving the airport, make sure you can reach your accommodation and communicate with your group. Build the requirements from your itinerary and the features you need, then review individual products.
1. Match coverage to the whole itinerary
A South Korea-only plan and a regional plan may cover different countries. If the trip includes another country, check that destination by name rather than relying on a regional label.
List city visits, travel between places such as Seoul and Busan, and any island stays. Inclusion of the country is not a promise of identical service at every stop.
2. Prepare before leaving the airport
Incheon International Airport describes free Wi-Fi in its official FAQ. Follow airport guidance if you need a connection to read setup instructions or contact support. For a different arrival airport, check that facility’s own information.
Save the accommodation address, booking and onward journey before departure. Test mobile data on the travel line before moving out of Wi-Fi range.
3. Decide whether you need a phone number
For maps and app messages, review data conditions. If you need to call local businesses, check voice service and numbering too. A local number does not guarantee eligibility for every booking or identity-verification service.
If you need messages sent to your home number, check your home carrier’s overseas terms. Buying a Korean number is separate from receiving messages addressed to an existing number.
4. Write the conditions you need to compare
Record dates, data, activation, voice, SMS, sharing, refunds and available support. Even on a short trip, make sure the allowance is valid across both arrival and departure dates.
